The Apartment is a new condominium in the El Cangrejo district of Panama City, part of the downtown business area. It has 23 floors of units with two units on each floor. This unit is on the 16th floor. People started moving into the building around the beginning of 2007, so it is truly "new", but it is fully completed. The building is located within easy walking distance of a variety of commercial establishments, including many good restaurants, hotels, and a casino, as well as shops and other businesses.
The owners have to return to the US, so they sadly find themselves having to part with their new home. By the standards of new condominiums, this apartment is large at 167 square meters (1800 square feet). It is in excellent condition and provides a fully modern kitchen, an excellent view from their balcony, and other amenities that make it easy to live in. I especially liked the fact that they had installed modern ceiling fans in many of the rooms. Combined with a good breeze when the windows are open, this makes it comfortable to spend much of the time without air conditioning. However, air conditioning units are provided for those who prefer it.
This condo has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, along with the standard maid's room and bath which they use as storage, like many other expatriates who don't want live-in maids. The kitchen appliances are top quality and the finishing work in the kitchen and other rooms is above average in my experience. They have put in designer window shades in each room that do a very good job of reducing sun glare while keeping the view intact, as you will note in one of the photos below. There is also a space that might be called a small "family room" to which the bedrooms connect, but they use it as an attractive office area, also shown below.
